The Homeownership Center (THC)
The Homeownership Center of North Texas (THC) is a community resource, which provides homeownership preparation through comprehensive counseling, training and education. Some of these services include:
- Providing one-on-one home ownership counseling, foreclosure prevention seminars and homebuyer education classes.
- Assisting more than 1,200 families and individuals with home buying counseling.
- Assisting more than 100 families in becoming homeowners since its opening two years ago.
DFW Home Ownership Preservation Enterprise (HOPE) Partnership
NTHC is the lead agency for the Dallas Homeownership Preservation Enterprise Partnership (HOPE). HOPE offers free foreclosure workshops within the North Texas region.
Senior Education Resource Center (SERC)
SERC will serve as the source of information and education for individuals 55 and older. SERC will provide the necessary tools to help fight consumer fraud, identity theft as well as help with housing concerns they may have. Seniors can also get help with insurance as well as retirement and estate planning assistance.
Program Activities will include:
- Workshops will be held and will include a one-hour training on credit security and fraud prevention as well as guest speakers discussing other issues important to seniors.
- One-on-one counseling will be provided.
- Guided field trips will be given to assisted living facilities and financial institutions to help seniors gain a sense of security when they have need of these for assistance and consideration of services.

The Housing Summit
The Housing Summit is an information and business education forum that helps to develop big picture solutions to affordable, working class housing issues in North Texas. The Summit helps by:
- Guiding and educating the public and private sectors on how housing affects issues such as healthcare, transportation, education and crime.
- Offering resources for affordable housing education, information and advocacy.
