MISSION & GOALS

Our Mission

To promote safe, quality, and affordable working class housing in North Texas.

Goals

  • To stimulate the development and purchase of new and rehabilitated affordable housing units.
  • To use “system solutions” to overcome barriers to the production of affordable housing.
  • To generate additional funds to encourage the production of more private sector affordable housing.

Members

The NTHC is a broad-based membership organization that includes lenders, developers, builders, community leaders, non-profits, attorneys, mortgage lenders, real estate agencies, community development corporations, and advocates.

Organization

The NTHC hosts regular quarterly seminars for its members and other housing professionals. The Board of Directors sets policy and the Executive Committee oversees the ongoing work of the organization. The Advisory Council provides strategic planning guidance.

The NTHC encompasses 16 counties and works with families in areas such as foreclosure prevention, credit counseling and home buying. The 16 counties serviced by NTHC include:

Low to moderate income housing programs in Johnson County include Alvarado, Briaroaks, Burleson, Cleburne, Cross Timber, Godley, Grandview, Joshua, Keene, Rio Vista & Venus.

 

 

Housing Counseling Services in Rockwall County including Fate, Heath, McLendon-Chisholm, Mobile City, Rockwall, Rowlett & Royse City.
